You’re pretty

Yes, you may be without makeup. Your hair may be thrown up into a messy bun (like mine.) You may be wearing your dorky glasses (like me). Remember, make-up is always optional.

Maybe you feel like you look like a fright. But someone out there still thinks you are absolutely, and totally gorgeous.

So live it up. Work it, girl.

Dream lofty dreams, and as you dream, so you shall become. Your vision is the promise of what you shall one day be; your ideal is the prophecy of what you shall at last unveil.

My mom

Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence.
Talent will not; nothing is more common than
unsuccessful people with talent.
Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.
The slogan “press on” has solved and always will solve
the problems of the human race.
— Calvin Coolidge

The most beautiful things in the world are not seen nor touched. They are felt with the heart.

Tyler

Yes, even boys can work it. Be sassy, Tyler.

And you too, dear reader. Go out an be confident and know that you’re pretty, too.

Love it! Where did you find all those quotes! Great!! 🙂 Work it, Tyler! ha!

  2. Awww I already feel better. 🙂 I was feeling a little plain this morning. Good timing.

  3. What a cute boy…he’s gonna break hearts 😉 What I have learned in the past two-ish months is that beauty is from the inside. I truthfully mean that. I can dress up in this that and the other…but if my spirit isn’t shinning through..then it’s just clothes on a stick. So I think that harnessing beauty is shinning through your skin

  4. So I wear my hair in a bun, wear dorky glassed (after I have spent all day trying to see without them and I’m forced to put them on – or i’m studying, and I buy lots of pretty make-up but rarely ever apply it! We sound kind of alike. Thanks for the words of encouragement!

This couldn’t have come at a better time – thank you very much! You have boosted my confidence, hopefully it will carry across through the weekend. Beautiful people and beautiful photographs, as well.

  6. Except I was editing photos of myself yesterday and concluded that I have officially passed the point of being able to get away with no make up. Messy hair, yes. No makeup, no.

Lucky for me, iphoto has a “retouch” feature.
